Ways To Give
Every gift you make to support Iowa State University makes a difference! No matter the size, your contribution has the power to transform what our students and faculty do each and every day.
There are several ways that corporations and foundations can provide financial support to benefit Iowa State University.
Outright gifts may be designated to help specific areas such as scholarships or professorships, or may be contributed without restrictions to assist where the need is greatest. Gifts can be designated toward:
-
Capital improvements
-
Faculty chairs or professorships
-
Research collaborations
-
Student programs
-
Student scholarships
Gifts-in-kind are non-cash gifts contributed for the use of Iowa State. Some examples are computer hardware, software licensing, and excess machinery that can be used for the good of the university.
Matching gift programs equal or exceed employee contributions to the university. If you do not currently participate in a matching gift program, consider this as an additional method of supporting Iowa State and encouraging employee philanthropy.
Private gifts to support Iowa State made through the ISU Foundation offer an opportunity for appropriate recognition for donors. Depending upon the level of commitment, recognition may include naming opportunities for faculty and student endowed funds, facilities, colleges and programs.
We highly recommend that you also consult with your financial and legal advisers when considering making a gift. Please contact Corporate and Foundation Relations (515.294.0374 or cfr@foundation.iastate.edu).
