College of Agriculture and Life Sciences to Hold Gift Announcement Thursday

Ames, Iowa — Iowa State University’s College of Agriculture and Life Sciences and the Iowa State University Foundation will hold a special event and announcement Thursday, Sept. 3, at 3 p.m. on the steps of Curtiss Hall on campus.

Iowa State President Gregory L. Geoffroy and Dean Wendy Wintersteen, endowed dean of the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, will be joined by special guests Neil and Darlene Harl for the announcement. Neil Harl is a Charles F. Curtiss Distinguished Professor of Agriculture and Life Sciences and emeritus professor of economics.

The announcement is part of Campaign Iowa State: With Pride and Purpose, the university’s $800 million fundraising effort. More than $700 million in gifts and future commitments for facilities and student, faculty and programmatic support have been made to Campaign Iowa State.
