Annual Women and Philanthropy Workshop Scheduled for May 13

AMES, Iowa-- The tenth anniversary of the Women and Philanthropy Workshop will be held Wednesday, May 13, in the Scheman Building on the Iowa State University campus.
The event, sponsored by the Iowa State University Foundation, will feature presentations by Renata Davidson, a consultant, columnist and author; and Pamela Davidson, present of Davidson Gift Design.
The workshop will also include breakout sessions on philanthropic topics, luncheon program and closing session. Activities will be held from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the Scheman Building.

Rafferty is a nationally respected columnist, consultant and author on the business of charity, and is invited by the media to comment on nonprofit trends and breaking news. She is the author of "Don’t Just Give It Away: How to Make the Most of Your Charitable Giving." She is the founder and president of Rafferty Consulting Group, Inc.
Davidson has been a nationally recognized speaker in charitable gift planning for more than 23 years. She is president of Davidson Gift Design in Bloomington, Ind., a consulting firm specializing in gift planning, planned giving program design and implementation, and training. She worked previously with the Indiana University Foundation.
